If you've signed up for a business email with Titan, there are a few steps before you begin sending professional emails. Below are the steps that you need to follow to set up Titan for your domain.
1. Setup MX and SPF records
alert-success | To ensure efficient email functionality, it is mandatory to configure MX, SPF, and DKIM records. While DMARC is not strictly necessary for email operations, we highly advise its implementation to enhance overall security. |

1. Setup MX and SPF records
Connecting your domain to Titan so that messages sent to your domain are received by your business email on Titan. This is done by configuring your MX and SPF records to point to Titan.
MX and SPF records are DNS records that allow you to send and receive emails through a particular email server (In this case, the Titan Mail server).

Select your domain registrar (the website from which you purchased your domain name) to know the DNS setup instructions in particular for that registrar :

General set-up instructions:
If your domain is registered with any other registrar, you may follow these steps(or forward them to your webmaster/techie friend): Log in to your account on the domain registrar's site.

- Navigate to the DNS / Domain Management Page/ DNS Control Panel in your admin page
- Find the MX Records/ Email Servers/ Email Settings option
- Add OR Replace the following MX records to your domain
- Set the Name/ Host field as either @ or leave it Blank.
- Set the Value/Points to the field as mx1.titan.email
- Set the Priority field as 10
- Set the TTL value to 1 hour or 3600 seconds.
- Repeat the above steps for all entries in the DNS panel as mentioned in the table below.
Done! You're all set to send and receive emails from your domain using Titan Mail!

2. Setup DKIM record
DKIM helps to verify the sender of an email and check if any alterations are made to the email in transit. Setting up DKIM record for your domain will help prevent your emails from going to spam at the recipient end.

3. Setup DMARC record
Setting up a DMARC record ensures better fraudulent protection for your emails. DMARC makes use of the domain's SPF and DKIM records to improve and monitor the protection of the domain from fraudulent emails.
