Apple Mail is the default email app on every Mac. This article shows you how to add your Titan email account to it, so you can send and receive Titan email right from your Mac's built-in mail app.
If your domain is with one of these providers, use their guide instead — it'll match their exact setup:
- GoDaddy: follow GoDaddy's Apple Mail setup guide
- Blacknight, MonoVM, DomainDiscount24, Fluccs, or Domain Central: follow the EU-hosted Apple Mail guide
If neither applies to you, the steps below are for you.
Before You Start
- Third-party email access must be turned on for your Titan account. See how to enable it.
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) must be turned off. Titan blocks third-party apps from connecting while 2FA is enabled. See how to turn off 2FA.
Step 1: Open Add Account in Mail
Open the Mail app, then choose Add Account from the main menu.

-
Then click Sign In.

Step 4: Choose IMAP or POP
Before entering server settings, decide which type of connection you want:
- IMAP (a way of syncing your mailbox across every device) keeps your mail in sync between Apple Mail, Titan webmail, and any other device you check email on. This is the option we recommend for most people.
- POP (a way of downloading mail to one device) downloads your mail into Apple Mail only. Messages won't appear in Titan webmail or the Titan app afterward.
Step 5: Enter your server settings
If you chose IMAP:
- Incoming server: imap.titan.email — Encryption: SSL/TLS, Port: 993
- Outgoing server: smtp.titan.email — Encryption: SSL/TLS, Port: 465
If you chose POP:
- Incoming server: pop.titan.email — Encryption: SSL/TLS, Port: 995
-
Outgoing server: smtp.titan.email — Encryption: SSL/TLS, Port: 465

What You'll See When It's Done
Your Titan account will appear in Apple Mail's account list, and if you chose IMAP, your existing mail will start syncing in. If you chose POP, new mail will arrive in Apple Mail only and won't appear in Titan webmail or the Titan app.
Troubleshooting
Problem: Apple Mail rejects your password or won't connect.
Cause 1: Username is incorrect.
Fix: In the username field, enter the full email address (eg. john@example.com ) instead of leaving it at "Automatic" .
Cause 2: Incorrect password is used.
Fix: Reset your password and then use the updated password.
Cause 3: Two-Factor Authentication is still turned on, which blocks third-party apps from connecting.
Fix: Turn off 2FA, then try again.
Problem: Apple Mail shows the account status as "Offline."
Cause: This usually means the outgoing (SMTP) mail server connection didn't complete correctly during setup.
Fix:
- Quit Mail.
- Click the Apple menu > System Preferences > Internet Accounts.
- Select the affected account and click the minus (–) button to remove it.
- Restart your Mac.
- Then go back to Apple menu > System Preferences > Internet Accounts and re-add the Titan account from Step 1.
Problem: New emails aren't showing up in Titan webmail after setup.
Cause: You set up the account using POP, which downloads mail to Apple Mail only.
Fix: If you want your mail to stay in sync across Titan webmail and other devices, switch to IMAP instead using the settings in Step 5.
