Mozilla Thunderbird is a free, third-party email application that you can use to send and receive your Titan email. This article walks you through connecting your Titan account to Thunderbird using manual server settings. It's for any Titan user who wants to check their business email from the Thunderbird desktop app instead of (or alongside) the Titan web app.
Are You an EU-Hosted User?
You're an EU-hosted user if you bought Titan Email through one of these partners:
- Blacknight
- MonoVM
- DomainDiscount24
- Fluccs
- Domain Central
If none of these apply to you, use the standard guide instead — the server addresses are different.
Prerequisites
Before you start, check the following:
- Third-party email access must be turned on for your account. If you haven't enabled this yet, see Enable Titan on other apps first.
- If Two-Factor authentication is turned on, please follow the steps here to setup an application password instead of your normal mailbox password.
Set up your account
- Open Thunderbird.
-
Click Account Settings.

- Click Done (or Re-test if Thunderbird flags a warning, then Done once the test passes).
| alert-success | Your username is the same as your full Titan email address for both incoming and outgoing servers. |
What you'll see when you're done
Thunderbird loads your Titan mailbox automatically, and your inbox appears in the left-hand folder list within a few seconds. You can now send and receive Titan email directly from Thunderbird.
Troubleshooting
Problem: Thunderbird won't accept your password.
Cause: Third-party email access isn't enabled yet, or the password entered doesn't match your Titan account password.
Fix: Confirm third-party access is turned on in your Titan settings, and also reset the password for your mailbox and enter the latest updated password in Thunderbird.
