If your email app isn't covered by one of our dedicated setup guides — like Outlook, Gmail, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail — you can still connect it to Titan by entering a few server settings yourself. This is for anyone using a third-party email app without a specific Titan guide. Once you're done, you'll be able to send and receive your Titan email directly from that app.
Are You an EU-Hosted User?
You're an EU-hosted user if you bought Titan Email through one of these partners:
- Blacknight
- MonoVM
- DomainDiscount24
- Fluccs
- Domain Central
If none of these apply to you, use the standard IMAP/POP guide instead — the server addresses are different.
Check if a dedicated guide already exists for your app first — it'll be easier to follow:
If your app isn't on this list, the steps below will work for it.
Before You Start
- Third-party email access must be turned on for your Titan account. See how to enable it.
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) must be turned off. For your account's safety, Titan blocks third-party apps from connecting while 2FA is enabled. See how to turn off 2FA.
Step 1: Choose IMAP or POP
Before you start, decide which type of connection you want:
- IMAP (a way of syncing your mailbox across every device) keeps your mail in sync between the app, Titan webmail, and any other device you check email on. This is the option we recommend for most people.
- POP (a way of downloading mail to one device) downloads your mail into this one app only. Messages won't appear in Titan webmail or the Titan app afterward.
Step 2: Open manual account setup in your email app
In your email app’s account settings, look for an option to add a new account manually — this is sometimes labeled "Other," "IMAP/POP," or "Advanced setup." Choose this instead of any "Sign in with Google" or automatic setup option, since Titan isn't one of the auto-detected providers.
Step 3: Enter your account details
Enter the following into your email app:
- Email address: your Titan email address (for example, jack@yourdomain.com)
- Password: your Titan email password
- Username (if asked separately): your Titan email address again (for example, jack@yourdomain.com)
Step 4: Enter your incoming server settings
Enter the incoming server settings for the option you chose in Step 1.
If you chose IMAP:
- Incoming server: imap0101.titan.email
- Port: 993
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS (a security setting that encrypts your connection — choose this option if your app asks)
If you chose POP:
- Incoming server: pop0101.titan.email
- Port: 995
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Step 5: Enter your outgoing server settings
These are the same whether you chose IMAP or POP:
- Outgoing server: smtp0101.titan.email
- Port: 465
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Step 6: Save and let your app verify the connection
Save your settings. Most apps will automatically test the connection before finishing setup.
What You'll See When It's Done
Your email app will show your Titan account as successfully added. If you chose IMAP, your existing mail will start syncing into the app. If you chose POP, new mail will start arriving in the app, but it won't appear in Titan webmail or the Titan app.
Troubleshooting
Problem: The app rejects your password or won't connect.
Cause: Two-Factor Authentication is still turned on, which blocks third-party apps from connecting.
Fix: Turn off 2FA, then try again.
Problem: You can't find a manual or IMAP/POP setup option in your app.
Cause: Every app labels this differently, and some hide it behind an "Advanced" or "Other" menu.
Fix: Search your app’s help documentation for "manual setup," "IMAP," or "add account manually" to find the exact menu path.
Problem: New emails aren't showing up in Titan webmail after setup.
Cause: You set up the account using POP, which downloads mail to this app only.
Fix: If you want your mail to stay in sync across Titan webmail and other devices, switch to IMAP instead using the settings in Step 4.
