When to Use Share
Use Share when:
- You want recipients to always access the latest version of files or folders
- You need ongoing access for clients, teammates, or collaborators
- You want recipients to browse inside shared folders
- You do not need view or download tracking
- You want a long-term shareable link
Sharing works best for collaboration and continuously updated content.
When to Use Transfer
Use Transfer when:
- You want to send a fixed copy of files that should not change later
- You want recipients to receive files exactly as they were at the time of sending
- You want to track views or downloads
- You want to include a note with the files
- You want the files to expire automatically after sharing
Transfers work best for deliveries, approvals, client handoffs, and downloadable file packages.
