If you want to configure Titan on a third-party client like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc. this article will help.
Accessing Titan via third party clients (e.g Outlook, Gmail etc)
1. Configuring email on third-party clients
You can check your email’s server settings to find out if you have configured your email using IMAP or POP and follow the instructions below.
1.1) Configure using IMAP
- Do not delete or modify anything in your current email configuration. Please add a new Titan configuration and you will start seeing 2 instances of the same email.
- We recommend that you take a backup of your email contacts just incase - If you see missing contacts on your Titan email you can easily import your contacts once again at a later point
If you have configured your email using IMAP
- Step 1: Do not delete or modify anything in your current email configuration.
- Step 2: Add your email as a new configuration with the IMAP settings below.
Titan IMAP Configuration settings
- Email address: Your existing email address eg: jack@<domainName>
- Password: Your existing email password
- Username (if asked): Your Titan address eg: jack@<domainName>
Incoming server: imap.titan.email Encryption method: SSL/TLS |
Outgoing server: smtp.titan.email Encryption method: SSL/TLS |
- At this point you will have two instances of your email. This might duplicate and take up additional storage as well. We recommend you retain the duplicate account for a few days to ensure that everything in your old Hosting email account is migrated to your new Titan account.
- We still recommend that you take a backup of your email contacts - If you see missing contacts on your Titan email you can easily import your contacts once again at a later point
Important: Remove your old Hosting email from the third-party client ONLY after you have double checked that everything is migrated properly and you have all the necessary backups, especially of your contacts
1.2) Configure using POP
- Do not delete or modify anything in your current email configuration. Please add a new Titan configuration and you will start seeing 2 instances of the same email.
- Take a backup of your email data following these instructions. This is important to ensure your local emails don't go missing
- We recommend that you take a backup of your email contacts just incase - If you see missing contacts on your Titan email you can easily import your contacts once again at a later point
If you have configured using POP
- Step 1: Important: Ensure you have taken necessary backups for your email contacts.
- Step 2: Important: Take a backup of your email data following these instructions. This is important to ensure your local emails don't go missing
- Step 3: Do not delete or modify anything in your current email configuration.
- Step 4: Add your email as a new configuration with the POP settings below.
- Step 5: Once your configuration is added, you can import your emails if you wish to have access to older emails

2. Configuring Titan calendar on third-party clients
Depending on what your email client supports, you can configure Titan Calendar via 2 methods
- Configuring using iCal
- Configuring using CalDav
2.1) Configuring using iCal
Titan’s iCal feature allows you to add your Titan Calendar to calendars across your accounts on Google, Outlook, Zoho, and other providers.
Here's how to get started:
2. Click on Settings and sharing from the 3-dots to the right of the Calendar name.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and copy the iCal Link .
How to add Titan iCal URL to external Calendar:
a. Open the calendar section in your Gmail account.
b. Click on the (+) sign next to Other Calendars and select From URL .
c. Paste the Titan iCal URL which you copied from the Titan Calendar settings and click on Add Calendar.
d. Select the Titan calendar and rename it.
Google does not show the guest list for an event in case of non-public imported calendars.
Hence when Titan Calendar is imported into Gmail, the guests for the Titan Calendar event will not be visible.
e. To remove the Titan Calendar from Gmail, simply click on (X) unsubscribe option.
With this, you’ll have successfully added events from yoalert-successThis will only remove the Titan Calendar from your Gmail account without affecting the original Titan Calendar.ur Titan Calendar to your Gmail or Outlook calendar.
- You can only view the events of the Titan Calendar on your external calendars.
- To RSVP or edit an event, please use the original Titan Calendar.
When you export your Titan Calendar to other platforms, the events in your Titan Calendar may take some time to reflect on these other calendars depending on the platform.
2.2) Titan Calendar set up - Configuring using CalDAV
Want to use Titan Mail Calendar on your Windows PC? Need to worry, we are here with a solution!
Hence, you will not be able to create, update or delete an event directly via Windows.
- Navigate to the Windows Settings (or use the keys Windows + I)
- Click on Account
- Click on email and accounts
- Click on Add an Account
- Select iCloud
You don't need an iCloud account for this. We select iCloud because Windows has enabled CalDAV via the iCloud option.
- Its time that you enter your Titan Mail email id, a desirable name, and password
- At this point, we would need to tweak the settings such that it work's for Titan Mail.
- Click on the Titan Mail account, then click manage.
- Now, click Change Mailbox sync settings, then enable the Calander option and click Advanced Mailbox Settings.
- In the Advanced Mailbox Settings you need the enter the following:
If you are based out of the European Union region then please refer to this article for Titan server details and use dav-eu.titan.email as the Calendar server.
- IMAP: imap.titan.email:993:1
- SMTP: smtp.titan.email:465:1
- Calander server: https://dav.flockmail.com
- Hit Done.
If you get a pop up saying "Your settings are outdated" and stating fix account, click on the fix button, and enter the password once.
Once done, it will sync the calendar and email. (If you get the same pop up multiple times please ignore it as it is a possible glitch on Windows which causes this)
That's it! You should be able to view all your emails as well as use the calendar via the Windows Mail and Calendar app.

3. Getting your email contacts
While we strive to move most of your email contacts present in your old Hosting email, we highly recommend you export contacts from your current email client and have a backup. You can import it back once you reconfigure your Titan email after migration is complete

Once you have your contacts backed up, you can easily import your contacts back to your Titan email via a .csv file. You can also easily import contacts these contacts back to Outlook, Gmail or any of your preferred clients.
