Professional Email is a Vodien service that is powered by Titan. Follow these steps to start sending and receiving emails with your account.
1. Log in to your Vodien account, click on the username, ensure that Account Manager is selected and then proceed to select Visit My Account.
2. Click on Domains from the top menu.
3. Click on the domain name that you wish to manage. If you have only one domain, you will automatically be routed to its management page.
4. Scroll down to the External Editor DNS section, then click on the Manage DNS button. (Make sure to allow pop-ups for the Vodien website)
5. Now, to add a new MX record, scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on Select record type to add, choose MX, and click on the Add option.
6.Now add the following values for the first MX record (omitting the quotes):
- Type: MX
- Name: @
- Handled by: "mx1.titan.email"
- Priority: "10"
7. Similarly, add the following values for the second MX record (omitting the quotes):
- Type: MX
- Name: @
- Handled by: "mx2.titan.email"
- Priority: "20"
8. Now add a TXT/SPF record by adding the below mentioned values (omitting the quotes):
- Type: TXT
- Name: @
- Text: "v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all"
Done! Your domain is ready to send and receive emails.
It could take anywhere between 6-8 hrs for your email services to be functional due to DNS Propagation delay.
MX and SPF settings:
Priority | Host | Points to | TTL |
10 | @ | mx1.titan.email | 1 hour/ 3600 seconds |
20 | @ | mx2.titan.email | 1 hour/ 3600 seconds |
Record Type | Host | Value | TTL |
TXT | @ | v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all | 1 hour/ 3600 seconds |
