The Email Control Panel lets you make changes to any email account on your domain after it's been created. You can use it to delete an account, reset a password, add or remove aliases, or suspend an account. To sign in to the Email Control Panel, refer to this article.
What you can do
- Delete an existing account
- Reset Password for an email account
- Add or remove an email alias
- Suspend an email account
Prerequisites
You need admin access to sign in to the Email Control Panel to make these changes. If you don't have access, ask your account admin to make these changes for you or to give you admin access.
Delete an email account
Deleting an account permanently removes it and all its data. This can't be undone, so make sure you no longer need the account or its emails before you continue.
- Open the Email Control Panel.
-
Next to the email account you want to delete, click the ellipsis icon (three vertical dots).
- Select Delete Account.
- In the window that appears, click Confirm.
The account disappears from your account list once it's deleted.
Reset the password for an email account
- In the Email Control Panel, next to the email account you want to reset, click the ellipsis icon (three vertical dots).
-
Click Reset password.
- Enter the alternate email address for this account.
Titan sends a password reset link to that alternate email address. The account owner can use this link to set a new password.
Add an email alias
An alias is an extra email address that delivers mail straight to an existing account's inbox. For example, emails sent to sales@yourdomain.com can land in the same inbox as john@yourdomain.com.
- In the Email Control Panel, hover over the email account you want to add an alias to.
- Click the ellipsis icon that appears.
-
Click Manage alias.
- Click Add new alias.
- Enter the email address you want to use as the alias.
The new alias appears in the account's alias list, and it can now receive email right away.
Alias addresses can only use letters, numbers, and the following characters: period (.), hyphen (-), underscore (_), and @. You can add up to 10 aliases per email account.
For more on sending email from an alias, see Email Alias.
Delete an email alias
- In the Email Control Panel, hover over the email account the alias belongs to.
- Click the ellipsis icon that appears, then click Manage alias.
- Hover over the alias you want to delete.
- Click the delete icon next to it, then confirm.
The alias is removed from the list and stops receiving email immediately.
Suspend an email account
Suspending an account blocks it from sending or receiving email until you reactivate it.
- In the Email Control Panel, next to the email account you want to suspend, click the ellipsis icon (three vertical dots).
-
Click Suspend Account.
- When prompted, select a reason for the suspension and click Confirm.
The account's status changes to Suspended in your account list, and it can no longer send or receive email.
Troubleshooting
Problem: You can't add another alias to an account.
Cause: Each email account has a 10-alias limit.
Fix: Delete an alias you no longer need, then add the new one.
Problem: The password reset email never arrives.
Cause: The reset link goes to the alternate email address on file, which may be incorrect or may have filtered the message as spam.
Fix: Confirm the alternate email address is correct, then check its spam or junk folder. If it's still missing, send the reset link again.
Problem: You can't sign in to manage.titan.email.
Cause: If your domain is hosted with Blacknight, your Email Control Panel lives at a different address.
Fix: Sign in at manage-euc1.titan.email instead.
