An email alias is an extra address (like info@yourdomain.com) that delivers to your existing mailbox, so you can send and receive email under a different name without creating a new account. Titan allows you to create up to 10 email aliases for your mailbox using which you can send/receive emails easily. Please go through the below article to know how you can make the best use of it!
Create email alias

You can log in to Titan Email Control Panel with your admin/customer account credentials.

- Hover over the email address you want to add an alias to, then click the ⋮ (vertical three-dot) menu next to the email address.

Click Manage alias
- Click on Add new alias

Enter the Display Name and the alias email address you want to create, then click Create alias.
What you’ll see: The new alias appears in the list of Manage alias.
Delete email alias

Login to Titan Email Control Panel with your admin/customer account credentials.

- Hover over the email address you want to add an alias to, then click the ⋮ (vertical three-dot) menu next to the email address.

Click Manage alias
- Hover over the particular alias you wish to delete

Click on the Delete icon
- Click Delete in the pop-up to finish deleting it.
What you’ll see: The alias disappears from the list. It can no longer send or receive email.
Managing email alias via web-app
- Login to Titan Webmail with your Titan Email address and password.
- In Titan Mail, in the top right corner, click the Settings (
icon).
- In the Settings panel, click Preferences.
- Navigate to Send As Alias tab under Send & Reply section
- From here, you can change an alias’s Display Name, set it as your Default Sender, or hide it from the From dropdown.

Change the display name: Next to the alias, click on Edit and enter the Name you want recipients to see, then click Save.
What you’ll see: The new display name appears next to that alias, and on emails you send from it.

Set as your default sender: Select the alias you want to use as your default From address.
What you’ll see: New emails you compose use this alias as the From address, until you change it again.

Hide an alias from the From dropdown: Turn off visibility for the alias you want to hide.
What you’ll see: The alias no longer appears in the From dropdown when composing. It still receives email as normal.
Send emails via email alias

You can send email as an alias from Titan Webmail or the Titan mobile app. Steps are similar across platforms, with small differences noted below.
Web :
- Click on the Compose Email button
- In the From field, select the required email alias
- Compose the email and send it
iPhone (iOS):
- Click on the Compose Email button.
- In the From field, tap on the dropdown and select the required email alias
- Compose the email and send it
Android:
- Click on the Compose Email button.
- In the From field, tap on the dropdown and select the required email alias
- Compose the email and send it
What you’ll see: The email sends from the alias address. Recipients see the alias in the From field, not your primary mailbox address.
Receive emails via email alias
Any email sent to an email alias will land in the respective mailbox. To check which alias the email was sent to, check the To field of an email.
In the below case, info@ops.flock-staging.com is an alias for the mailbox anson@ops.flock-staging.com.
