If you want to configure Titan on a third-party client like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc. this article will help.
Accessing Titan via third party clients (e.g Outlook, Gmail etc)
Note: To protect your account, accessing 3rd party clients will be blocked when the two-factor authentication is enabled. You can refer to this article for instructions on disabling two-factor authentication on Titan
1. Configuring email on third-party clients
You can check your email’s server settings to find out if you have configured your email using IMAP or POP and follow the instructions below.
1.1) Configure using IMAP

If you have configured your email using IMAP
- Step1: Do not delete or modify anything in your current email configuration.
- Step2: Add your email as a new configuration with the IMAP settings below.
Titan IMAP Configuration settings
- Email address : Your Titan address eg: jack@<domainName>
- Password: Your Titan password
- Username (if asked): Your Titan address eg: jack@<domainName>
Incoming server: imap.titan.email Encryption method: SSL/TLS |
Outgoing server: smtp.titan.email Encryption method: SSL/TLS |
- At this point you will have two instances of your email. This might duplicate and take up additional storage as well. We recommend you retain the duplicate account for a few days to ensure that everything in Name.com email account is migrated to your new Titan account.
- We still recommend that you take a backup of your email contacts - If you see missing contacts on your Titan email you can easily import your contacts once again at a later point
Important: Remove your Name.com email from the third-party client ONLY after you have double checked that everything is migrated properly and you have all the necessary backups, especially of your contacts
1.2) Configure using POP

If you have configured using POP
- Step 1: Important: Ensure you have taken necessary backups for your email contacts.
- Step 2: Important: Take a backup of your email data following these instructions. This is important to ensure your local emails don't go missing
- Step 3: Do not delete or modify anything in your current email configuration.
- Step 4: Add your email as a new configuration with the POP settings below.
- Step 5: Once your configuration is added, you can import your emails if you wish to have access to older emails
Titan POP Configuration settings
- Email address: Your Titan address eg: jack@<domainName>
- Password: Your Titan password
- Username (if asked): Your Titan address eg: jack@<domainName>

2. Configuring Titan calendar on third-party clients
Depending on what your email client supports, you can configure Titan Calendar via 2 methods
- Configuring using iCal
- Configuring using CalDav
2.1) Configuring using iCal
Titan’s iCal feature allows you to add your Titan Calendar to calendars across your accounts on Google, Outlook, Zoho, and other providers.
Here's how to get started:

2. Click on Settings and sharing from the 3-dots to the right of the Calendar name.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and copy the iCal Link .

alert-success | You can click on Reset iCal link to generate a new iCal URL. Doing so will invalidate the given link and give you a fresh one. |
How to add Titan iCal URL to external Calendar:

a. Open the calendar section in your Gmail account. b. Click on the (+) sign next to Other Calendars and select From URL . c. Paste the Titan iCal URL which you copied from the Titan Calendar settings and click on Add Calendar. d. Select the Titan calendar and rename it.
e. To remove the Titan Calendar from Gmail, simply click on (X) unsubscribe option.

Outlook |
a. Open the calendar section in Outlook and select Add calendar . b. Click on Subscribe from web > Paste Titan's iCal URL > Add calendar name > Click on Import. c. To remove the Titan Calendar from Outlook, simply click on Remove.

With this, you’ll have successfully added events from yoalert-successThis will only remove the Titan Calendar from your Gmail account without affecting the original Titan Calendar.ur Titan Calendar to your Gmail or Outlook calendar.

When you export your Titan Calendar to other platforms, the events in your Titan Calendar may take some time to reflect on these other calendars depending on the platform.
2.2) Titan Calendar set up - Configuring using CalDAV

Titan Mail service makes it possible to set up calendar synchronizations separately on devices that support CalDAV configuration.
1) Open the Calendar app on your Mac. 2) On the top, from the drop-down options of Calendar, select Accounts.
3) Click on Other CalDAV Account.
4) Enter the details as shown below:
a) Account Type : Manual 5) On clicking Sign in, it will take a few moments to log you in.
6) You will see your calendar account as shown below.
7) Once done, go back to your calendar and select the Preferences option.
8) Under Account Information, verify the details as shown in the example down below.
9) Navigate to Server Settings and verify the following settings: a) Internal Server : dav.flockmail.com
Done! You will now have successfully set up your Titan Mail calendar via CalDAV on your Mac.

iPhone |
Titan Mail service makes it possible to set up calendar synchronizations separately on devices that support CalDAV configuration.

3) Tap on Add Account
4) Tap on Other
5) Select Add CalDAV account
6) Enter the configurations as mentioned below:
a) Server : dav.flockmail.com
7) Make sure that Calendars is turned on and tap on Save

3. Getting your email contacts
alert-warning | In-order to ensure you have all your email contacts after you move to Titan, please export your existing email contacts as a backup. |
While we strive to move most of your email contacts present in your Name.com email, we highly recommend you export contacts from your current email client and have a backup. You can import it back once you reconfigure your Titan email after migration is complete
Here's how you can export contacts from the following clients
Once you have your contacts backed up, you can easily import your contacts back to your Titan email via a .csv file. You can also easily import contacts these contacts back to Outlook, Gmail or any of your preferred clients.
