Spam Filter Control lets domain admins choose how strictly Titan filters unwanted email across every mailbox on the domain. This article covers the three filtering levels available and how to change the setting. It's for admins on a Titan Paid Plan who want stronger spam protection or more visibility into incoming mail.
Prerequisites
Before you start, check the following:
- You need admin access to your Titan account. If you don't have this, ask your account admin to make you an admin, or to make the change for you.
- Spam Filter Control is available on Titan Paid Plans only.
| alert-warning | Note: Spam Filter Control settings are only visible to admin accounts. If you don't see this option after logging in, your mailbox likely doesn't have admin access. |
Spam filtering levels explained
Spam Filter Control applies one filtering level to all mailboxes on your domain at once. There are three levels to choose from:
| Level | What it does |
|
Strict (Default) |
Blocks the most suspicious and unwanted emails for maximum protection. Best if you want a clean inbox with minimal noise. |
| Basic | Applies minimal filtering. More messages reach your inbox, including borderline or promotional content. Best if you prefer to sort mail yourself. |
| Off | Delivers all emails to your inbox, except messages from senders you've blocked. Best if you already rely on spam filtering in Gmail, Outlook, or another email client. |
| alert-success | Titan recommends Strict for most businesses. It blocks suspicious emails before they reach your inbox, which reduces clutter and lowers your team's exposure to phishing and malware. |
Change your spam filter level
- Go to the Titan Control Panel and log in with your admin account.|
- In the left-hand side menu, click Spam Filter Control.
- Select your preferred level: Strict, Basic, or Off.
Confirmation — what success looks like
Your selected level is applied immediately to every mailbox on your domain. You'll see it marked as the active level in the Spam Filter Control panel — there's no separate save step.
