Have you ever clicked on an email address online and seen it open in an app you don’t use—or not open at all? Those clickable email addresses are called email links or "mailto:" links. They're commonly found on websites, contact pages, or email signatures and are designed to help you quickly start writing an email.
By setting Titan as your default email application, clicking on any email link will instantly open Titan Webmail, with the recipient’s address and even details like the subject and message body already filled in. No more copying and pasting or switching between apps - just click and start composing!

If another Email service provider is set as your Default Email Application, Titan will replace it once permission is granted automatically. However, for some browsers the replacement might not take place directly. If so, kindly follow the instructions below.
alert-warning |
1. When clicking on the "Allow" prompt, and then clicking on any mailto link in your browser, your default browser will be opened instead of Titan in your current browser if your default Browser is a different browser than your current browser. E.g. Having Chrome as your default browser and setting up Titan as the default Email application in Edge will lead to Titan launching in Chrome instead of Edge. - In such a case you can resolve the issue by either: ii. Alternatively, you can ignore your current browser and open Titan's webmail in your Default browser and set Titan as the default application in the same - preventing any further issues. 2. Clicking on cross button in the prompt instead of clicking on "Allow" will lead to Titan being blocked and not being your default application any longer. 3. If instead of clicking on "Allow" the "Block" button is clicked in the prompt, then clicking on any mailto link will lead to your link being opened in your last visited email application. 4. On setting Titan as the default application in our Desktop application instead of our Webmail, any mailto links when clicked on will be opened in your browser instead of Titan's Desktop application. |
2. Alternate Instructions - for overriding any issues faced during the first time setup.
Facing issues with the direct setup instructions? Or during the setup you might have clicked on the "Block" prompt instead of the "Allow" prompt or clicked on the cross button to close the prompt to allow Titan to handle email links accidentally. You might also not want to setup Titan as your default application immediately and therefore dismissed the prompt to perform the setup later as per your convenience.
In such cases, you might not be able to directly setup Titan as the default email application and would need to follow the steps below to complete the process as you might not be receiving the prompt to setup Titan as the default application once again after the initial attempt.
