Configure CalDAV

Want to use Titan Mail Calendar on your Windows PC? Need to worry, we are here with a solution!

alert-warning Please note, Titan currently supports only displaying events from the Calendar.  
Hence, you will not be able to create, update or delete an event directly via Windows.
  • Navigate to the Windows Settings (or use the keys Windows + I) 
  • Click on Account

  • Select iCloud

You don't need an iCloud account for this. We select iCloud because Windows has enabled CalDAV via the iCloud option. 
  • Its time that you enter your Titan Mail email id, a desirable name, and password

alert-success Post this, your Titan Mail account would be added to the Accounts List.

  • At this point, we would need to tweak the settings such that it work's for Titan Mail.
  • Click on the Titan Mail account, then click manage.
  • Now, click Change Mailbox sync settings, then enable the Calander option and click Advanced Mailbox Settings.

  • In the Advanced Mailbox Settings you need the enter the following:
    alert-warning If you are based out of the European Union region then please refer to this article for Titan server details and use dav-eu.titan.email as the Calendar server.

    • IMAP: imap.titan.email:993:1
    • SMTP: smtp.titan.email:465:1
    • Calander server: https://dav.flockmail.com
  • Hit Done.

If you get a pop up saying "Your settings are outdated" and stating fix account, click on the fix button, and enter the password once.

Once done, it will sync the calendar and email. (If you get the same pop up multiple times please ignore it as it is a possible glitch on Windows which causes this)

 

That's it! You should be able to view all your emails as well as use the calendar via the Windows Mail and Calendar app.

MacOS

Titan Mail service makes it possible to set up calendar synchronizations separately on devices that support CalDAV configuration.

alert-warning Before setting up this calendar, make sure you already have the required DNS records and mailbox created.

1) Open the Calendar app on your Mac. 

2) On the top, from the drop-down options of Calendar, select Accounts.

3) Click on Other CalDAV Account.

4) Enter the details as shown below:

alert-warning If you are based out of the European Union region then please use dav-eu.titan.email as the Calendar server address

        a) Account Type   : Manual
        b) Username         : user@domain.abc
        c) Password          : As saved
        d) Server Address: dav.flockmail.com

5) On clicking Sign in, it will take a few moments to log you in.

6) You will see your calendar account as shown below.

7) Once done, go back to your calendar and select the Preferences option.

8) Under Account Information, verify the details as shown in the example down below.

9) Navigate to Server Settings and verify the following settings:

        a) Internal Server : dav.flockmail.com
        b) Server Path       : auto filled
        c) Port                     : should be blank
        d) Use SSL             : should be ticked

Done! 

You will now have successfully set up your Titan Mail calendar via CalDAV on your Mac.

iPhone

Titan Mail service makes it possible to set up calendar synchronizations separately on devices that support CalDAV configuration.

alert-warning Before setting up this calendar, make sure you already have the required DNS records and mailbox created.

1) Open Settings on your iPhone and tap Calendar.

2) Tap Accounts.

3) Tap on Add Account.

4) Tap on Other.

6) Enter the configurations as mentioned below:

alert-warning If you are based out of the European Union region then please use dav-eu.titan.email as the Calendar server address.

        a) Server              : dav.flockmail.com
        b) Username         : Your email address
        c) Password          : Your mailbox's password
        d) Description       : Set as you wish

7) Make sure that Calendars is turned on and tap on Save .

Done!
You will now have successfully set up your Titan calendar via CalDAV on your iPhone.

Outlook

You can setup Titan calendar in Outlook desktop application on Windows OS by following the steps given below.

1. Download the CalDav Synchronizer plugin from its webpage.

2. Open the downloaded ZIP archive and run the setup.exe by double clicking on it. Follow the instructions in the installer.

3. Open Outlook desktop application after the successful installation of the CalDav Synchronizer. You should see a new tab on the ribbon regarding the same. Click on it.

Then click on Synchronization Profiles.

4. Click on the ➕ icon, then select Generic CalDAV/CardDAV.

5. Enter the Calendar name.

6. For Outlook folder, select "Calendar" and then tick the checkbox for "Synchronize items immediately after change".

If you do not have a "Calendar" folder to choose, you will first need to follow these steps:
Open Outlook >> Calendar section >> Home >> Open calendar >>> Create new blank calendar
Now select any folder where you want to place this calendar under your Titan email address.
Once this is done, you can choose this newly created folder in Step 6.

 

7. Enter the following Server settings:

        a) DAV URL           : Click here for steps to get DAV URL
        b) Username         : Your Titan email address
        c) Password          : Your Titan mailbox's password
        d) Email address   : Your Titan email address

8. Then click on Test or discover settings. Wait until you get a pop-up message stating "Connection test successful".

9. After that click on "OK" at the bottom of the window.

Done!

You will now have successfully set up your Titan calendar via CalDAV on your Outlook desktop application.

Thunderbird

You can setup Titan calendar in Thunderbird application by following the steps given below.

1. Open Thunderbird application and go to the Calendar section.

2. Now click on the + sign to add a new calendar.

3. Next, select the "On the Network" option.

4. The username should be your full Titan email address.

5. To get the URL to enter in the Location field, click here.

6. After entering the Location URL, click on Find Calendars.

7. In the pop-up that comes up, enter the password of your Titan mailbox and click "OK".

8. In the next window, click on "Subscribe".

Done!
You will now have successfully set up your Titan calendar via CalDAV on your Thunderbird application.
