Smart Write and Composer Inline Refine are Titan AI tools that help you write emails faster and more clearly. Smart Write drafts new emails or replies from a short prompt, and Composer Inline Refine improves the wording of text you've already written. Both tools are built for anyone using Titan Mail who wants polished, professional emails without spending extra time editing.
What you can do

Generate an email from scratch with Help Me Write
Help Me Write generates a complete email from a short prompt. Use it when you're starting a new email, proposal, or announcement.
On webmail
- Click New Email, or open an existing draft.
- Below the subject line, click AI Write.
- Type a prompt describing what you want the email to say.
- Under Choose your tone, select Professional, Casual, or Friendly.
- Under Email length, select Short or Long.
- Under choose a language, select the language you want the email written in.
- Click Generate.
Your drafted email appears in the composer, ready for you to review or edit.
Your prompt can be up to 75 words. If you'd like a different version of the result, click Give me another option or Regenerate. You can do this up to two times for the same prompt. If you still don't get the result you want, edit your prompt and click Generate again.
You can also open Help Me Write from the App Switcher:
- Click the Switch Apps button in the top-left corner to open the App Switcher.
- In the App Switcher, click Smart Write AI (the second option in the list).

On Android
- Tap New Email to open the compose screen.

Tap the wand icon below the subject line.
- Enter a prompt describing the email you want to send.
- Under Writing style, choose a tone and length for your email.
- Tap Done.
- Tap Generate.

Once you're happy with the result, tap Insert.
Tap the Bulb icon to see example prompts.
Reply to an email with Smart Write
Smart Write can draft a reply based on the email you're responding to and a short prompt you provide.
- Open the email you want to reply to.
- Click Reply with Smart Write, or press Ctrl + Shift + E (Cmd + Shift + E on Mac).
- Titan automatically fills the Email Context box with the original email's text, up to 1000 words. Edit or add to this text if needed.
- Enter a prompt describing how you want to reply.
- Under tone, select Professional, Casual, or Friendly.
- Choose the length for your reply.
- Click Generate.
- Click Insert to add the reply to your email.
Your reply appears in the composer, ready for you to review before sending.
You can also start this from More options on the email instead of the Reply with Smart Write button.
Choose a language for your email
Smart Write can write your email or reply in a language other than your default, so you can communicate with recipients in their preferred language.
- In the Help Me Write or Reply with Smart Write panel, click the choose a language dropdown.
- Select the language you want your email written in.
Your email or reply is generated in the language you selected.

Refine a draft you've already started
Refine My Draft improves an email you've already started. It refines tone, corrects grammar, improves structure, and clarifies your message, without changing what you originally meant to say.
Use it when you:
- Want to make your email more polished and engaging
- Have a partially written email and need help finishing it
- Want to proofread your message before sending
- Want to improve the overall professionalism of your writing
Refine specific text with Composer Inline Refine
Composer Inline Refine lets you select a specific part of an email and improve just that section, instead of refining the whole draft. It can adjust the tone of the selected text — for example, to professional, casual, or friendly — and rewrite it to be shorter or more detailed.
How your data is used
Titan AI uses OpenAI's ChatGPT API (the AI technology that generates your drafts and suggestions), under OpenAI's terms of use. OpenAI only receives the prompts and email content you explicitly submit through Smart Write or Composer Inline Refine — it doesn't have access to any other content in your mailbox. OpenAI doesn't use this data to train its models, and doesn't retain it for more than 30 days.
What you'll see
After you generate, reply, or refine an email with Smart Write or Composer Inline Refine, the result appears directly in your email composer. Review the text, make any final edits you want, and send the email as you normally would.
Troubleshooting
Problem: The generated email doesn't match what you wanted.
Cause: The prompt was too vague, or you've already used both regenerate attempts for this prompt.
Fix: Click Give me another option or Regenerate (available up to two times per prompt). If the result still isn't right, edit your prompt and click Generate again.
Problem: You don't see Smart Write, Composer Inline Refine, Refine My Draft, or language selection in your account.
Cause: Refine My Draft and language selection are only available on webmail, not Android. Some features may not be included in your Titan plan.
Fix: If a feature only works on webmail, switch from the Android app to webmail. If a feature is missing entirely, check your Titan plan — you can upgrade your plan if the feature isn't included.
