Contact import brings the contacts you already have — in Gmail, a spreadsheet, or your phone — into Titan Mail, so you can start emailing people right away instead of adding them one by one. It's available to every Titan user, on both web and mobile. This article walks you through all four ways to import contacts.
Import contacts from Gmail

Login to the Titan webmail and click the Settings icon on the top right side.

Click Import from Gmail.

- Grant Titan permission to access your Gmail contacts, then click Confirm. Your contacts will start importing.

You'll see a notification showing how many contacts were imported from your Gmail account. Once this appears, your contacts are ready to use.

Import contacts from a CSV file

Login to the Titan webmail and click the Settings icon on the top right side.

Select the CSV file you want to upload.

- Once the import finishes, your contacts appear in your contacts list and you can start emailing them.
Import contacts on mobile
- Open the Titan mobile app.
- Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top-left corner.
- Select the Settings option.
- Tap Import Contacts.

Allow Titan to access your phone's contacts.
image-shadow - Once the import finishes, your phone contacts appear in Titan and you can start emailing them.
Import contacts from the Contacts app
- Login to the Titan webmail and click the menu icon (the Switcher) in the top-left corner.

Click Contacts app.

Click Import Contacts.

Click Select CSV File and choose the file containing your contacts from your device.

- Once the import finishes, your contacts appear in the Contacts app and you can start emailing them.
What success looks like
However you imported them, your new contacts show up in your Titan contacts list with their name and email address filled in. You can search for any of them from the email compose window, and start emailing them right away.
Troubleshooting
Problem: The Gmail import doesn't start, or the Google permission screen never appears.
Cause: Your browser is blocking the Google sign-in pop-up.
Fix: Allow pop-ups for Titan in your browser settings, then click Import from Gmail again.
Problem: A CSV import finishes but shows 0 contacts imported.
Cause: The CSV file's column headers don't match the format Titan expects.
Fix: Check your file against How to import contacts from a CSV file, fix the headers, and re-upload the file.
Problem: Imported contacts don't appear right away.
Cause: Large imports take a few minutes to finish processing.
Fix: Wait a few minutes, then refresh your contacts list.
